Industry surveys consistently report that ~20–30% of jobs without tracking links generate at least one inbound status call ("where's my driver?"). We default to 25% as a midpoint; you can override it under "Show assumptions." Operations with chatty B2C clientele often run higher; mature B2B operations run lower.
Why 2 minutes per call?
Look up the job, check driver location, call back if needed, answer the customer, log the interaction. End-to-end attention rarely fits in one minute; rarely runs past three. Override the number if your dispatchers handle calls faster.
How realistic is 40% portal adoption?
Pure B2C customers adopt slower (~20–35%); recurring B2B customers (law firms, property managers, dealerships) hit 50–70% within 60 days because the portal saves THEM phone time too. 40% is a conservative midpoint.
