What this preset sets up
Time-sensitive medical routes with controlled, reference-based handoffs. Work is called a medical delivery, done by a courier for a recipient facility; the account you bill is a healthcare client.
Default order: paired pickup and drop-off. Service types offered: Laboratory specimen pickup, Pharmacy delivery, Medical supply delivery, STAT run, Scheduled route, Inter-facility transfer, Document delivery.
The questions the setup wizard asks
Your answers shape recommendations and defaults only — never your plan or what you are entitled to — and you can change them any time in Dispatch → Settings → Operation profile.
Facility-to-facility transfers or pharmacy last mile? (facility transfer / pharmacy last mile / both)
Do you require chain-of-custody handoffs?
Which handling categories do you use? (ambient / refrigerated / frozen / mixed)
Do you verify an authorized recipient role?
I understand public tracking is minimized (no contents / patient identity).
I am responsible for my own regulatory obligations and workflow configuration.
Routing and proof
Routing: route optimization is recommended; recurring routes are recommended; time windows are prioritized.
Default proof: barcode scan and signature. Proof is required to complete work. The recipient's name is required. The recipient's relationship to the addressee is recorded. A signature is required. A failed stop needs a reason.
Failed runs are marked for manual handling — this preset never re-attempts automatically, and customers cannot reschedule from the tracking page.
Recommended way to add work
Add jobs manually. You can use any method your plan offers; the recommendation is a starting point.
Importing a spreadsheet? The Medical courier template expects: client_reference, service_address, time_window, package_category, urgency (required); destination_address, facility_name, facility_contact_role, seal_barcode, chain_of_custody_required, required_handling, client_account (recommended).

Fleiko does not claim to be hipaa compliant, cold-chain certified, specimen compliant, pharmacy compliant, continuous temperature monitoring; it records what your team declares and captures.
Public tracking shows only a neutral client reference. No contents, patient identity, or medical details are exposed.
Your responsibilities with sensitive data
Store operational reference numbers only — no diagnosis, medication details, or clinical notes.
Never expose package contents or patient identity on public tracking.
Never place patient information in notification bodies.
Temperature entries are manual operational records, not continuous monitoring.
